ShOe LaCeS uNtiEd: Happy 1st Birthday Laken!

What a roller coaster of emotions……disbelief that one year ago today I gave birth to the most Amazing little boy, that Mark and I not only created but welcomed a new life into this world. Elation that we survived the year, honour that we where blessed with such a loving, happy and all around perfect child! Sadness that this year is gone and my baby isn’t such a baby any more. This year I can with out a doubt say was the best year of Mark and I's life on so many levels. I’m excited for all the years, milestones and memories ahead of us as the journey of parenthood has only just begun!

On Sunday we celebrated Laken’s 1st Birthday with a Puppy dog themed party here at our house. It was such a good time and we’re so grateful for the friends and family that we have in our lives who took time to share and celebrate such a huge milestone with us. We are truly blessed, the day started off looking like the sky’s where going to open up on us but 2pm hit and the clouds parted and blue sky was all you could see, a perfect day all around! Here are a few pictures from the weekend, this week we plan to stay close to home, I want to get in as much Mommy and Laken time before Monday arrives and I start back to work…..So we hope you enjoy the photo’s and are packing in all you can as August will be over before we know it!
