4 mOnThS nEw!

 

August Consisted of more 1sts! On August 8th Brett Rolled from her back to her Tummy, 1st ride in Papa's Grand Prix, Starts putting everything into her mouth, Mommy and Brett Have a weekend just the two of them while Laken's in Granum. Brett meets Great Grandma Mcallister for the first time. 1st Parade, Pushes herself onto her knees, 1st rice cookie...Even tries to crawl!

 Sometimes being a Big Brother is Better then Being a Super Hero~ and my little Boy sure thinks so!

 

 

 The Challenge we've had with Brett is that she wont take a bottle... During the first 2 weeks after Brett was born I was pretty much was bed ridden due to a spinal headache from the epidural I received. As a result it was just easier to strictly breastfeed. Now the reason we wanted her on a bottle... Angie is getting married and I am in the bridal party...which means I'll be away from her during pictures and she'll need to be fed. I've tried taking her out to visit Marks cousin, leaving for the day and having Lyn's try and get her to take a bottle.. to no avail... she's got her Mom and Dads stubbornness! 8 hours with not taking a bottle a very sore mommy and no luck :(. It took Mark spending the day with her to finally get her to take a bottle!! Huge Day at our house! of course it was also with the assistance of Laken's help!

~ I grew up with Dysfunction and it's made me what I am today ... For my Children though... I want them to know everything but.. I want them to know how important family is. How much fun they are and that you need to make the time and put in the effort to make any relationship work... The greatest thing in life besides siblings are.. Cousins! They truly are your first best friends and I am beyond grateful I've been blessed with the ones I have been! This summer was spent with family, we didn't travel far, or do anything really really exciting but this summer will definitely go down as one of my favorites!!

Car show and shine!!Laken's love for cars runs deep...real deep... I honestly wonder how its possible and the thing in which this kid comes up with I am truly in awe! It so hard to grasp how big he's getting and how fast time is flying!

June~July 2012

Three Months New!

 June Consisted of Bridesmaid Dress Shopping for Aunty Angie's wedding, The First Day of Summer, First Giggles, Camping and lots of time outside! Brett has definitely inherited Mommy's laugh and we're still undecided as to who she looks more like... the verdict is still out!  Fathers Day is Also in June and this year Laken worked really Hard on a shirt for his Dad and a Super Man  mug!        

 Camping with two has actually been a blast and Brett is such an easy Baby just like Laken! Sleeping everywhere, including the bouncy chair while camping! The only thing different with Brett is that she is a choker.. and likes to choke while sleeping.... thankfully sleeping sitting up while camping fixes that!!

Two months New! May~June 2012

 

And The Smiles melt our hearts and Marks officially wrapped around her finger! Two months fly by and she's growing like a bad weed! Brett seems to have changed so much that I had a girl friend Mel come in and take some Beautiful 2month pictures of our sweetheart and I couldn't be more happy with them!

 

 

Just like Laken she's looking for food and at 3months we started rice cereal and she loved it!

Everyone said, two is a lot of work....just wait until the second one comes...and I thought...Oh come on! How much harder can two be? Well... I've decided the naiveness is the only way we as parents decide to have two! Two has been a challenge and it seems that the children conspire to alternate good and bad nights, temper tantrums and just when to be sick.... All in all though I wouldn't change a thing as the last two months have been amazing and we are truly blessed!
