First Blog~

I thought I’d start a blog after seeing a friends! It's such a great way to stay in touch, show you what we’ve been up to and how much Laken is growing. It truly seems like just last week we found out we where expecting and just yesterday bringing our little man home and now….almost nine months later, it’s crazy how much has changed!
We are now crawling, running in our walker and into Everything!! Mark and I are truly loving every moment of being parents and sometimes wonder what we ever did with out Laken. He amazes us everyday and the love we have for him is nothing like we ever thought we where capable of feeling…We both truly wish everyone was as lucky and happy as we are because we’re truly blessed!
To catch you up on what we’ve been up to we’ll start from the beginning!
January~ Started off on a sad note as I had to say goodbye to an Amazing Uncle who I’ll dearly miss as will my whole family. My Uncle Jim has a lot to do with who I am today, many summers and holidays where spent riding the Grey Hound bus to spend time with Uncle Jim and Aunty Leona! I am so thankful we where able to visit them in September and again in December, as well as for the beautiful memories my family and I have. The end of January was filled with relief as I had my last and finale surgery on my Leg. It was to remove the rod that ran inside my tibia from top to bottom. It’s been a long six years and we are so happy to be able to put it all behind us.

February-March~ Was busy between Swimming lessons, Rhyme time, Play dates, Baby Group. February also marked the month that Laken got his first tooth and there has been no slowing down since! I also started Babysitting two Boys ages 6 and 10 so they keep Laken and I busy as well! Mark celebrated his birthday on the 14th of March another year into the books and a pretty productive one at that!

April~ Has been Busy as well seems to be the only way we do things around here! Laken had an Echocardiogram done which I’m sure was more stressful on Mark and I then on Laken. The appointment was at the hospital and Laken did have to be sedated, but from the techs perspective everything looks fine and there where no holes or leaks that she came across. We wont have the results from the Cardiologist until the end of May. Easter was spent, at the Community Easter egg Hunt and meeting the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny made a stop at our house and of course Grandma and Grandpa Cesar’s too bringing treats and gifts. Before we new it April seemed to disappear!

May~ So far May has been Full of Surprises, opportunities and lots of productivity! Laken started crawling this month, has popped two more teeth (making six total) and is running in his walker following his Dad everywhere! So starts the Adventures of a mobile child! We’ve already (and it’s only been three days) Broke out the baby gates, child locks, plugs and moved everything so let the exploring begin! We have a lot of changes happening in our house and you’ll have to stay tuned for all the details!
Hope this Blog finds you well and you enjoy watching our little family grow, technology is just amazing! Just because there may be busy schedules, miles or an ocean between us doesn’t mean we have to miss out on anything!

Love Always till we post again!
