I always have great intentions, that I am going to keep up with my Blogging..... and then well Life... It happens and you go from a snowy day in January to Today this first Day of Summer.... So Here in a Nut Shell is a run down of life since my last post...
January was a rocky start to say the least full of a lot of nerves and uncertainty.... I started a new job, sharing my passion of nursing with students just embarking on their journey within the health care field. We were juggling a new schedule, along with our existing one...still running around for hockey, preschool and all the other things life had in store for us....
February was Valentines Day, Valentines Parties and everything Love.... Laken made Balloon themed Valentines, which were super cute.... but let me tell you 24 balloons on string, two children a dog and a Chinook do not work well together and I was certain I had lost my mind..
March was Show and Share, we took our Puppy Molly in for show and share. Laken shared everything about her with his class and then everyone was able to pet her after.... We celebrated the first year of Hockey done, Dads Birthday, St. Patrick's day... where we made a Leprechaun trap...much to our disappointment he got away and created Havoc around the house... Poor Laken was soooo mad it was beyond funny with the mess he discovered in the morning and the fact the Leprechaun had gotten away.... In March I also got on a really I mean really little plane and flew to Brandon Manitoba to be at a life long friends Wedding Social. March was filled with lots of fun and -40 degree temperatures for over a week but we managed to get in some great visits with family and friends to allude the cold..
April Miss Brett Turned Two! We had a fabulous fun filled day and Ill post all her pictures in the next post! We celebrated Easter Early at our house and I flew away for Amy's Stagette in Vegas. Which was a lot of fun but it was very hard to leave my kids for 5 days and I was so glad to return home! The Easter Bunny came and didn't disappoint, Spring was finally in the air!
May was Mothers Day and I was Spoiled rotten, I was spoiled early before mark went to work with a wonderful homemade dinner, was awoken at 5am by a very excited little boy on mothers day who had on his own in his room..( at probably 4am...when he was to be sleeping) made me a beautiful bracelet, wrapped it himself and was also instructed to take me out for breakfast.. Much to his disappointment Cora's the restaurant isn't open at 5am and Mommies are not ready at 5am on a Sunday.... To then be spoiled again with hand made gifts at his mothers day party at preschool. May was also slightly wet... and as any Boy would do... we made a worm farm... in my house... on my counter.....eewww...
The beginning of June was spent in as much sunshine as we could get in... Mark took the kids fishing, Laken had his last preschool concert, we had orientation to kindergarten.... our preschool Graduation and farewell ..... Not to mention everything in between...
We also got in some Camping fun and the weather was beautiful! Lots of memories made and fun had by all... We ended the month with a family vacation to Manitoba full of waterslides and Weddings!!
