“He didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.”

 First Father's Day Poem

So this is your first Father's Day
 Your first one as a dad;
Get ready for surprises now,
The wildest you've ever had.
Just when you think you've got it down,
There's a new and different stage;
This little person changes a lot
With each fascinating age.
Being a dad takes all you've got;
Your heart and mind you'll invest;
It's the hardest job you'll ever have,
And the one you'll love the best.

Happy First Fathers Day Mark! As well, as all the other Dad’s out there whether they’re celebrating their first Fathers Day or 28th, we wish you all a great day! I truly have one lucky little boy, I knew Mark was going to be an Amazing Dad but he’s so much more…It melts my heart how they both light up when they see each other, how much alike they are even for Laken only being 10 months old….. It also thrills me that Laken has a Dad who won’t miss a school concert, field trip, sports game or camp out and who can’t wait for those moments…As each holiday has taken on a new dimension/meaning since becoming parents you truly do appreciate all the small things. We where talking about our Dad’s and what they’ve taught us, memories from when we where young….and how we’re going to teach and pass those memories onto Laken…..So many great years and Adventures ahead of us we can hardly wait! In honour of Fathers Day we’re Having a BBQ with Marks parents, enjoying the Sun while it’s out and relaxing on the deck! Last weekend Lee brought in his 1969 Grand Prix ( for those who don't know this was the very first car Mark's Dad bought brand new and he still owns it today) and before returning it last Sunday we took it out for a drive to the research Center to snap a few photo’s for a Fathers/Grandpa’s Day gift for Lee. So here are a few of them along with Laken’s 1st car ride in the 69’ Grand Prix. As well as a picture of Mark when he was we’re guessing about two. Hope everyone stays dry and has a Wonderful Fathers Day!
